Hi, I’m Anna, your host at The Pyramid House – a California-based interior stylist, proud mom of two kids, and wife to a charming Brit. I grew up on this land and have always felt a deep connection to the area. No matter where I’ve been in the world, this has always been home. There’s a timelessness in the forest and fields here—a lovely stillness woven into the days and changing seasons.

In 1972, our family moved upstate from Long Island. My parents bought 120 acres of land with a barn and a garage, which they converted into a home. Sadly, that house burned down a few decades ago. In 2008, my father, Dennis Stahl—an artist and contractor—had his dream home built: “a pyramid house on the hill.” Dad believed in the healing power of creating art and devoted his life to pursuing it. His sculptures and artwork express his fascination with the psyche, religion, culture, and social injustice. Many of his pieces are featured throughout the home and property here, making The Pyramid House not only a peaceful retreat but a nod to the notion that art and nature combined can create something truly magical.

We're so happy to be able to keep this place and share it with others. Drop your bags, go look for flowers and fireflies, meet our koi, explore the woods, listen to the wind, the birds, and the frog choir at night. Settle into the calm. We hope you love it as much as we do.
